Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use vicenergydeals.com.au or submit an enquiry through it, our social media pages or our ads. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these terms.
2. What we do
We are an independent third-party referral service. We review active offers from top-rated installers in Victoria, publish a shortlist and pass your enquiry to approved partner sellers. We are not a retailer, installer or finance provider. We don't sell, supply, install or finance any product, and we are not a party to any contract between you and an installer.
3. Offers and prices
- Offers, prices and inclusions are set by partner installers. We publish them in good faith but can't guarantee they're available at the time you enquire.
- Advertised prices include GST and, where stated, the federal Cheaper Home Batteries rebate (and small-scale technology certificates for solar), for a standard installation at an eligible Victorian property.
- Extra costs may apply for non-standard installations, such as switchboard upgrades, three-phase work, long cable runs, roof type, access or network requirements.
- Time-limited offers end on the date shown. Installers may withdraw an offer earlier if stock runs out.
- Your installer's written quote and contract set out the final price and terms, and take priority over anything on our site.
4. Government rebates
Rebates are set and administered by the Australian Government and can change. Eligibility and the rebate amount depend on the product, your property and your installation date. Your installer assesses eligibility and applies the rebate. We don't guarantee that you'll receive any rebate or a particular amount. The battery rebate is scheduled to reduce on 1 January 2027, based on installation date.
5. General information only
Information on our site is general and doesn't take your circumstances into account. It isn't financial, legal or technical advice. Energy savings depend on your usage, tariff, system size and behaviour, and are not guaranteed. Get advice from your installer before you decide.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information, and only submit an enquiry for a property in Victoria that you own or are authorised to act for.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Don't submit someone else's details without their permission.
7. Partner installers
Partner installers are independent businesses. They are responsible for their quotes, products, installation, workmanship, warranties and after-sales service, and for meeting the Australian Consumer Law and the New Energy Tech Consumer Code. We check partners against our standards, but we don't guarantee their work. Before you sign, check their licences and accreditation and read the contract carefully. You may have cooling-off rights for some agreements under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Referral fees
Partner installers may pay us a fee for referrals. Our service is free for you.
9. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the site, from offers published on it, or from the acts or omissions of partner installers, and our liability for our own services is limited to supplying the services again.
10. Intellectual property
The Vic Energy Deals name, logo and site content belong to us. Product names and logos such as Sofar, Midea, GoodWe, FoxESS, AlphaESS and Trina Solar belong to their owners and and their product images are used only to identify products. We aren't affiliated with or endorsed by those brands, the Australian Government, the Victorian Government or Solar Victoria.
11. Links to other sites
Our site may link to other websites. We're not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms at any time by posting a new version on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
